TERRI ALLAR

Congratulations, Terri!

Terri Allar is an exceptional single mother with four children: Katie, Melissa, Timmy and Jessie. She has gone through eleven major operations while raising her
children and providing quality day-care in her home.

She attended college where she struggled through chef school leaving campus everyday to go to physical therapy. Terri was involved in a car accident ( a drunk
driver hit her) that killed her daughter's godfather and which resulted in spinal injuries. Her day would begin at 4 AM, school would
start at 6 AM. Classes would go until 4PM. Terri would get home by 6 PM to prepare the meal and to help her kids with their homework. She then had to do her own homework.

Her grades made honor roll and she began a successful, yet stressful and demanding catering business. Her heart longed to be home with her children. So, she decided
to put her love for children - hers and others- in creating Terri's Teach and Play where her true life's passion to teach children became a reality.

Her application was spilling over with enthusiasm and positive attitude. It is evident that her special talent is to provide children with a safe, loving, stimulating and fun environment that encourages curiosity and individuality. I am certain that her influence on all her kids will have a lasting effect into their adult lives. Terri is truly a "teacher" in that she is helping them build high self-esteem, the most important trait a person can have. She helps children better understand their world, each other and themselves. And, she herself, is a shining example of hard work, determination and positive attitude.
