"Author Danielle Dufayet, single mother of two kids, 
is obviously speaking from the heart and direct experience. 
She keeps things simple for her intended male audience, 
dispensing lots of pointed advice with a minimum of philosophical meandering: 
Please tell us how you feel. If you don’t, you may get resentful.
Every positive comment you can make about [the children’s] father becomes 
a part of how they view themselves.

"We are much more capable of being noble than we think. 
When you think about how this worthy advice is actually 
going to get to its intended market, the author’s brevity 
begins to seem strategic. Men are a distinct minority in 
the self-help market, so we have to conclude that this slim 
volume is most likely to be bought for  them by well-meaning 
sisters or female buddies , and single moms, of course, 
who see a glimmer of life-mate potential in the new boyfriend 
and want to give him a gentle push without seeming to shove. 
In that case, a little book that can easily be tackled during 
an NFL halftime may be just the thing. 
Publishers scounting for talent should keep an eye on this 
entrepreneurial author; she’s got potential."
